Yes, friendly dogs on leads are welcome. All mess must be cleared up and disposed of and Dogs must be kept out of the water.

Yes, but only cameras that are chest mounted are allowed on the Inflatable Water Park.
Can I bring my waterproof camera on the mud trail?
Cameras are not recommended on the obstacle course as they are very likely to be damaged, but this is down to your discretion. Maybe ask a spectator.

Can I cancel my session?
In the result of a cancellation, a 50% refund is available if cancelled more than 48 hours in advanced or full credit to be used at a later date in the same year. No refunds are available if cancelled within 48 hours of your session.
Can I change the number of guests for a party after booking?
We recommend booking the maximum numbers of guests that you think may attend at the time of booking, as extras can only be added if spaces are available.
Can I do axe throwing if I have booked other activities?
Absolutely! If you’re visiting for the Waterpark or Mud Trail, you can add axe throwing to your day by booking online in advance or on the day when you arrive.
Can I keep my jewellery and glasses on in sauna?
No, all jewellery and glasses must be removed before entering the sauna.
Can I refill my water bottle near the sauna?
Yes, there is a tap at the sauna as well as refill taps onsite at the park.
Can I take part if I’m pregnant?
We strongly recommend that you do not take part if you are pregnant.
Can I take part in sauna session if I’m pregnant?
Saunas are not recommended if you are pregnant. Please consult your GP before use if you have any concerns.
Can I wear my glasses on the Waterpark?
No. You will almost certainly lose or damage them on the Aqua Park. Prescription goggles are a good alternative.
Can I wear swimming googles on the Waterpark?
Yes, if you can wear goggles if you wish.
Can photos be purchased from sessions on the Waterpark, Splash Castle & Mud Trail?
Yes. Photos are available to purchase as digital downloads only – from our Snapshack online.
(Please note – there is no longer an on-site photo booth.)
Your photos will be uploaded to an online gallery within 12 hours of your session. You can then view the images and download your favourites for a small fee.

Do I have to be fit for the Waterpark?
It is pretty physically demanding, you need to be able to pull yourself out of the water and tackle various obstacles. Being physically fit will certainly help.
Do I have to wear a life vest on the Waterpark?
Yes, and we provide them for your safety and must be worn at all times.
Do I have to wear a wetsuit on the Waterpark?
No, wetsuits are optional. Feel free to bring your own, or you can hire one on the day for £5 per person.
Do I have to wear shoes on waterpark?
Yes, you must wear wetsuit or beach style shoes or grippy aqua socks. Trainers, flip-flops and crocs are not suitable. You can buy some grippy aqua socks on arrival.
Do I need any experience for axe throwing?
Not at all! Our friendly instructors will give you a full safety briefing and expert guidance, so whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned pro, you’ll have a great time.
Do I need to book axe throwing in advance?
Axe throwing can be booked online in advance or on the day at the park (subject to availability). We recommend booking ahead to secure your spot, especially during busy periods.
Do I need to pay a deposit to book a party?
Yes, a £100 deposit is required when making a party booking. The remaining balance is due two weeks before the event.
Do Parents or Guardians need to sign a waiver?
Yes, a signed waiver is required for every child, which can be completed through a link on your booking confirmation email.
Do children have to be accompanied on the Mud Trail?
Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
1 adult is required to supervise every 6 participating children (U18) – this can be either by participating in the course or using the walking trail.
Under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult on the Mud Trail on a 1:3 ratio.
Do children have to be accompanied on the Splash Castle?
Yes 1 adult (18+) is required to supervise every 3 participating children.
All children must have a parent or guardian present in order to take part.
1 adult goes free with each child’s ticket. Additional adult’s tickets are £5.00 each.
Do children have to be accompanied on the Waterpark?
We recommend that children under 12 have an adult with them taking part on 1:3 ratio. A parent or guardian for all under 18’s must be present during your briefing to give consent for your child to take part. Children aged 6-7 MUST have an Adult supervising them.
Do supervising adults need to participate during kids parties?
For the waterpark, adults will need to enter the water and climb the course, to be able to supervise (most parents unexpectedly love joining in the fun!) For the mud trail, adults supervising 8+ year olds don’t need to take part but must supervise from the paths, however they MUST participate to supervise under 8’s.

Do you have lifeguards on the Waterpark?
Yes all our lifeguards are fully trained and qualified, but don’t be fooled they are not there to simply watch, they take pride in offering you an experience that you will never forget.
Do you have showers?
We have a warm water external rinse area to wash the mud off.

Does my child need to be able to swim for the Splash Castle?
The water is not deep enough for swimming, however they must be confident in shallow water. Please note, there is also sprinklers.

How do I get to Dorset Adventure Park?
- From Studland Chain Ferry, Head towards Corfe Castle, B3351. We are just after the last Sharpe bend on the right-hand side before the viaduct.
- From Swanage, Head towards Corfe Castle. Take the right-hand turn for Studland under the viaduct, we are just on the left.
- From Poole/Wareham Via A351, Head towards Corfe Castle, take the left-hand turn at the foot of the castle under the viaduct, We are 400 metres down the road on the left-hand side.
How early should I arrive for Mud Trail?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your Mud Trail session.
How early should I arrive for my waterpark session?
We recommend you arrive 45 minutes before your slot. That gives you time to book in, get changed and have your briefing. Briefings start 10 minutes before the start of your session; you must be there for your safety briefing.
How far in advance do I need to book for a party?
Party bookings can be made online, if booking more than 10 days ahead. If you need to book within 10 days, please contact us directly by phone on 01929 505030 to check availability.
How long are the Mud Trail sessions?
Each session is two hours long, you are free to move around the course and can repeat obstacle’s as many times as you like.
How long are the waterpark sessions?
Sessions are one hour long (half an hour on each lake). You can book back to back sessions is you wish, but most people find an hour enough as it is pretty physically demanding.
How long does an axe throwing session last?
Axe throwing sessions typically last around 30 minutes, depending on group size and availability.
How long does it take to walk from reception/changing rooms to the sauna?
It takes approx. 3 minutes to walk from reception/changing rooms to the sauna. You are welcome to walk to the sauna in your towel or robe. Please wear shoes on the track to the sauna.
How much do kids’ party packages cost?
Prices start from £20.50 per child for the Mud Trail Party, £33.00 per child for the Waterpark Party, and £41.50 per child for the combined package.

Is Axe Throwing available in all weather?
Axe throwing runs rain or shine, except in extreme weather conditions. If we need to close for safety reasons, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
Is axe throwing safe?
Yes! Safety is our top priority. We have trained instructors, clear safety rules, and a controlled environment to ensure everyone can enjoy the experience safely.
Is the Waterpark fun for adults as well as children?
Of course, why should the kids have all the fun? The Wibit park is challenging to both adults and children.
Is the water cold on the Splash Castle?
We use fresh lake water each day to fill the inflatable to approximately knee height for an adult. The water temperature typically ranges between 16 – 19°C, depending on the time of year and the weather on the day.
Is there Parking?
Yes, there is plenty of free car parking on site, with an overflow car park when needed.
Is there a maximum age for the Splash Castle?
Yes, the maximum child’s age is 6 years old. (The supervising adult must be at least 18 years old)
Is there a maximum group size for the sauna?
Yes, the maximum group size is 6.

What ages can attend a kids’ party at Dorset Adventure Park?
The Mud Trail party is suitable for children aged 4-15, while the Waterpark and combined packages are available for children aged 6-15.

What do children need to bring to a party?
Children must bring their signed waiver, swimwear for Waterpark sessions, old clothes and shoes for the Mud Trail, a towel, and we recommend a bag for wet or muddy clothing.
What happens if it’s raining?
Sessions will proceed as normal in the rain – after all, you’re going to get wet anyway!
We will only cancel a session if lightning is detected within 5 miles or if winds exceed Beaufort Force 5.
If we do need to cancel, we’ll provide as much notice as possible and offer you a refund or the option to reschedule.
If you decide not to participate, no refunds will be issued.
What heater do you have in the sauna?
We use a Narvi Kuru 20 wood-burning sauna stove, rated at 20kW. We aim to keep the sauna temperature between 60 – 80°C.
You are welcome to add logs to the stove during your session. If you would prefer not to do this yourself, please let a member of staff know when you check in.
What if I’m late for a booked session?
We recommend that you leave plenty of time for your journey, as we can’t let you onto the park if you miss your slot. We will try our best to help you, but will not give a refund for a missed session.
What is axe throwing?
Axe throwing is an exciting activity where you throw small axes at a wooden target, aiming for the bullseye. It’s a great way to challenge yourself and compete with friends in a safe, controlled environment.
What is included in a Dorset Adventure Park birthday party package?
All party packages include a meal (burger or chicken nuggets with chips and a drink, vegetarian option available), a personalised chocolate birthday cake and downloadable party invitations (download invites here).
You must inform us of any special dietary requirements at least two weeks before your party date.
Kids’ wetsuit hire is included in the children’s waterpark parties package (adults wetsuits are available to hire for an additional fee).

What shoes should I wear on Mud Trail?
We recommend old trainers on the assault course, you can wear wellies but these tend to get stuck.
What should I bring with me for a sauna session?
You need to bring 2 towels – customers must sit on a towel in the sauna.
Don’t forget your swimwear – there is no nudity at our sauna.
Bring water bottles (not glass) and keep hydrated – we have refill taps onsite
What should I wear as a supervising adult on the Splash Castle?
Please ensure your shorts/clothing are free of metal buttons, zips etc. This could damage the inflatable when assisting your children/leaning against the inflatable.
Water is up to knee height, so please wear suitable clothing. We recommend shorts/swim wear – You will get wet if you fall over (it happens to the best of us) – so maybe a spare set of clothes just incase!
Shoes/flip flops are not permitted on the inflatable. Either bare foot (although this will be slippery), wetsuit shoes or aqua socks available to purchase at reception for £2.50.
What should I wear for axe throwing?
You must wear closed-toe shoes for safety. We also recommend comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.
What should my child wear on Splash Castle?
Suitable swimwear required, swim nappies if necessary. Swim nappies are available to purchase for £2.
Wetsuits are optional, you are welcome to bring your own or hire a wetsuit from us for a £5 each.

Sessions are one hour long (half an hour on each lake). You can book back to back sessions is you wish, but most people find an hour enough as it is pretty physically demanding.
How long does an axe throwing session last?
Axe throwing sessions typically last around 30 minutes, depending on group size and availability.
How long does it take to walk from reception/changing rooms to the sauna?
It takes approx. 3 minutes to walk from reception/changing rooms to the sauna. You are welcome to walk to the sauna in your towel or robe. Please wear shoes on the track to the sauna.
How much do kids’ party packages cost?
Prices start from £20.50 per child for the Mud Trail Party, £33.00 per child for the Waterpark Party, and £41.50 per child for the combined package.

Is Axe Throwing available in all weather?
Axe throwing runs rain or shine, except in extreme weather conditions. If we need to close for safety reasons, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
Is axe throwing safe?
Yes! Safety is our top priority. We have trained instructors, clear safety rules, and a controlled environment to ensure everyone can enjoy the experience safely.
Is the Waterpark fun for adults as well as children?
Of course, why should the kids have all the fun? The Wibit park is challenging to both adults and children.
Is the water cold on the Splash Castle?
We use fresh lake water each day to fill the inflatable to approximately knee height for an adult. The water temperature typically ranges between 16 – 19°C, depending on the time of year and the weather on the day.
Is there Parking?
Yes, there is plenty of free car parking on site, with an overflow car park when needed.
Is there a maximum age for the Splash Castle?
Yes, the maximum child’s age is 6 years old. (The supervising adult must be at least 18 years old)

Yes, participants must be 8 years or older to take part in axe throwing. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Is there an age restriction for the Mud Trail?
The mud trail is suitable for the age of 4+.
Is there any catering?
Yes, we have the Snack Shack that offers delicious hot food, refreshments, and ice creams.
Is there somewhere I can get changed for the sauna?
Yes, you can get changed in our waterpark changing rooms. Please arrive before your booking if you need time to get changed. Keep your shoes handy to walk to the sauna from the changing rooms.
What ages can attend a kids’ party at Dorset Adventure Park?
The Mud Trail party is suitable for children aged 4-15, while the Waterpark and combined packages are available for children aged 6-15.

What do children need to bring to a party?
Children must bring their signed waiver, swimwear for Waterpark sessions, old clothes and shoes for the Mud Trail, a towel, and we recommend a bag for wet or muddy clothing.
What happens if it’s raining?
Sessions will proceed as normal in the rain – after all, you’re going to get wet anyway!
We will only cancel a session if lightning is detected within 5 miles or if winds exceed Beaufort Force 5.
If we do need to cancel, we’ll provide as much notice as possible and offer you a refund or the option to reschedule.
If you decide not to participate, no refunds will be issued.
What heater do you have in the sauna?
We use a Narvi Kuru 20 wood-burning sauna stove, rated at 20kW. We aim to keep the sauna temperature between 60 – 80°C.
You are welcome to add logs to the stove during your session. If you would prefer not to do this yourself, please let a member of staff know when you check in.
What if I’m late for a booked session?
We recommend that you leave plenty of time for your journey, as we can’t let you onto the park if you miss your slot. We will try our best to help you, but will not give a refund for a missed session.
What is axe throwing?
Axe throwing is an exciting activity where you throw small axes at a wooden target, aiming for the bullseye. It’s a great way to challenge yourself and compete with friends in a safe, controlled environment.
What is included in a Dorset Adventure Park birthday party package?
All party packages include a meal (burger or chicken nuggets with chips and a drink, vegetarian option available), a personalised chocolate birthday cake and downloadable party invitations (download invites here).
You must inform us of any special dietary requirements at least two weeks before your party date.
Kids’ wetsuit hire is included in the children’s waterpark parties package (adults wetsuits are available to hire for an additional fee).
What is the minimum age restriction for the waterpark?
The Waterpark is suitable for the age of 6+. Children aged under 8 MUST be supervised by a Parent or Guardian.

What shoes should I wear on Mud Trail?
We recommend old trainers on the assault course, you can wear wellies but these tend to get stuck.
What should I bring with me for a sauna session?
You need to bring 2 towels – customers must sit on a towel in the sauna.
Don’t forget your swimwear – there is no nudity at our sauna.
Bring water bottles (not glass) and keep hydrated – we have refill taps onsite
What should I wear as a supervising adult on the Splash Castle?
Please ensure your shorts/clothing are free of metal buttons, zips etc. This could damage the inflatable when assisting your children/leaning against the inflatable.
Water is up to knee height, so please wear suitable clothing. We recommend shorts/swim wear – You will get wet if you fall over (it happens to the best of us) – so maybe a spare set of clothes just incase!
Shoes/flip flops are not permitted on the inflatable. Either bare foot (although this will be slippery), wetsuit shoes or aqua socks available to purchase at reception for £2.50.
What should I wear for axe throwing?
You must wear closed-toe shoes for safety. We also recommend comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.
What should my child wear on Splash Castle?
Suitable swimwear required, swim nappies if necessary. Swim nappies are available to purchase for £2.
Wetsuits are optional, you are welcome to bring your own or hire a wetsuit from us for a £5 each.
Shoes/flip flops are not permitted on the inflatable. Wetsuit shoes or aqua socks are recommended for comfort and grip. Aqua socks are available to purchase from reception for £2.50.
What supervision is required for a Children’s Waterpark or Mud Trail Party?
Waterpark Party Supervision Ratio:
- Under 12’s: Recommend to be accompanied by an adult on a 1:3 ratio
- Under 8s: MUST be accompanied by an Adult or Guardian on a 1:2 ratio.
Mud Trail Party Supervision Ratio:
- Under 12’s: Recommend to be accompanied by an adult on a 1:6 ratio – supervising adults don’t need to take part but must supervise from the paths.
- Under 8s: MUST be accompanied on the Mud Trail by a partaking Adult or Guardian on a 1:3 ratio.
We strongly recommend for over 12s there is still a supervising adult present.
When are kids’s parties available?
Parties are available on weekends, during school holiday and on term-time evenings.
When should I arrive for my Splash Castle session?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your start time to allow time to check in and change (if required) before you start.
Where can I store my possessions?
Lockers available for you to use free of charge, but we ask you to leave your car key as a deposit.
