At Dorset Adventure Park, we are committed to making our park as welcoming and accessible as possible for all guests. We understand that every visitor has different needs and we continually look for ways to improve accessibility across the site.
Parking & Arrival
- Dedicated disabled parking spaces are available close to the main entrance.
- There is a step-free route from the car park to reception, however, there is a steep tarmacked slope.
- The main reception area is accessible via level access
- All entrances on site are a minimum of 96cm wide.
- Staff are available to assist guests where possible upon arrival.
Waterpark Access
- There are no steps required to enter or exit the Waterparks.
- Access into the Waterpark areas is provided via ramps.
- Safety briefings for the Waterpark are available in multiple languages.
- We are currently working towards introducing a video safety briefing alongside a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter.
Changing & Toilet Facilities
- Accessible changing rooms are available on site with step-free access.
- Male and female changing rooms are available.
- Single all-gender changing cubicles are located around the side of the main changing facilities.
- An accessible toilet is available on site.
- Baby changing facilities are available.
Spectator Areas
- Viewing and spectator areas are step-free and wheelchair accessible via gravel tracks.
- Seating and picnic areas are located around the park for guests who may need regular rest breaks.
Assistance & Essential Companion Tickets
We offer complimentary Essential Companion tickets for guests who require assistance to fully enjoy their experience at the park.
Essential Companion tickets are available for both Waterpark and Mud Trail activities. Guests are encouraged to arrange these in advance to help us provide the best possible experience, particularly during busy periods.
To request an Essential Companion ticket, guests may be asked to provide supporting documentation such as:
- An Access Card with the companion symbol
- A valid Blue Badge
- A letter from a medical professional confirming support needs
- Visual impairment registration documentation such as a CVI or BD8 certificate
Our first aid team has received disability awareness training, and our staff are always happy to assist wherever possible.
We also run dedicated SEN Waterpark sessions on selected dates throughout the year, designed to provide a more supportive and inclusive environment for guests with additional needs. See our events page for any upcoming events.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome in spectator and public areas of the park. Due to the nature of the activities, dogs are not permitted on the Waterpark or Mud Trail courses themselves.
Outdoor Environment
Dorset Adventure Park is an outdoor activity venue. Surfaces around the park include gravel, grass, mud, slopes and uneven ground, which can become more challenging in wet weather conditions.
Our activities are physically demanding and take place in water and natural outdoor terrain. Guests using the Waterpark must:
- Be confident in the water
- Be able to swim 25 metres
- Meet the minimum height and age requirements
Sensory Considerations
The park can be busy and noisy, particularly during weekends and school holidays. Guests who prefer a quieter environment may wish to visit during off-peak periods where possible.
