Plunge pool (if entering): Participant must be comfortable with cold water plunging and be in suitable health for cold water.

The waterpark on Castle lake operates during the summer season – the waterpark can be seen and heard from the retreat area during these hours.

How deep is the plunge pool?

The plunge pool is 1m deep, accessible by ladder.

Is there a minimum age for the sauna?

Yes, the minimum age is 18 years old.

What should I bring with me for a sauna session?

You need to bring 2 towels – customers must sit on a towel in the sauna.

Don’t forget your swimwear – there is no nudity at our sauna.

Bring water bottles (not glass) and keep hydrated – we have refill taps onsite

What heater do you have in the sauna?

We use a Narvi Kuru 20 wood-burning sauna stove, rated at 20kW. We aim to keep the sauna temperature between 60 – 80°C.

You are welcome to add logs to the stove during your session. If you would prefer not to do this yourself, please let a member of staff know when you check in.

Are there oils to use / included in the sauna?

Yes, we provide 100% pure natural essential oils that can be added to the water to create steam if you wish.

Can I keep my jewellery and glasses on in sauna?

No, all jewellery and glasses must be removed before entering the sauna.

Is there a minimum group size for the sauna?

Yes, the minimum group size is 2 people.

Is there a maximum group size for the sauna?

Yes, the maximum group size is 6.

Can I cancel my session?

In the result of a cancellation, a 50% refund is available if cancelled more than 48 hours in advanced or full credit to be used at a later date in the same year. No refunds are available if cancelled within 48 hours of your session.

Are there medical restrictions to use the sauna & plunge?

You must be medically fit for the sauna heat and bathing in cold water.

Saunas are not recommended if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure or a heart condition.

Please consult your GP before use if you have any concerns.

It’s the perfect place to slow down, breathe, and truly switch off. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a soothing and soulful sauna experience
