Quick show of hands – who among us hasn’t watched The Walking Dead and secretly wondered how they’d cope in the event of a Zombie apocalypse? No? Just me then. If on the off chance you have long-harboured dreams of being chased by a ravenous pack of flesh-eating zombies, you’re in luck as here at Dorset Adventure Park we’re hosting our annual Zombie Run on Saturday 2 November. A great opportunity to enjoy some muddy fun and games, on the Zombie Run you’ll enjoy two hours on the mud trail, working together to overcome the obstacles whilst avoiding becoming infected by the voracious horde.
Monsters, roamers, geeks, lurkers, biters, muertos, the infected. The Walking Dead universe seems to have any number of names for the undead whilst avoiding the most obvious, but here at Dorset Adventure Park we like to call a spade a spade, or in this case, a zombie or zombie.
Whilst serving as the primary antagonists in countless horror movies over the years, both good and bad, as always it’s the humans you truly have to watch out for as much as the zombies. Can you trust your friends and family to stand by you and help you overcome each and every slip-sliding obstacle? Can you work together as a team to overcome every peril you encounter and ensure the safety of everyone in your group? Can you yourself be trusted in the face of such overwhelming odds and relentless terror? This is a test of character as much as anything else.
Be warned, this is no George A. Romero-style slow-shuffling mindless pack. These things can really move when they want to, and seem to have evolved the ability to hunt in packs. Think more 28 Days later than Night of the Living Dead and you’ll be in the right ballpark. Therefore, you’ll need all your wits, skill, strength and endurance to stay one step ahead of their predatory clutches and keep yourselves from becoming zombie-brunch.
For a bunch of reanimated corpses, these guys are pretty fit. They don’t feel pity, or fear, or remorse, or pain, and they absolutely will not stop. Ever. Until they have you in their murderous clutches. Or until your two hours is up, whichever comes first.
At a great price of £10 for Adults and £8 for children, there are a limited number of tickets available so book now to avoid missing out, to book simply Click HERE and select the 2nd November.
See you out there!
